Bizarre Bosch

If you're ever looking to be entertained/confused, check out Hieronymus Bosch's The Garden of Earthly Delights. Painted in 1503-4, it's one of the oddest works of art from the 1500s that I have ever seen. Who knew that people were so goofy back then! Here's one small detail of the 87 x 153 inch triptych...

Is that a knife with- two human ears- on either side? Is a tiny man climbing a ladder up into the...er, stomach(?) of the strange white man with the pizza platter for a hat?

You could seriously spend months picking apart this painting. I also feel like you get a glimpse into what taking a hallucinogen feels like.
